This raises a practical question for municipal utilities and real estate companies: How can these devices be integrated into the existing data infrastructure?

Wide Device Support—
TodayThe neugemacht system is based on the ZONOS platform and leverages its international expertise in device integration. The device catalog already includes over 600 integration entries for meters, communication modules, gateways, and sensors from various manufacturers, including different device models and firmware versions.

The product range extends from electricity, water, gas, and heat meters to building sensor technology. This includes temperature, humidity, and CO₂ measurement, as well as leak, intrusion, and smoke detection. Communication modules and gateways support connectivity via various communication channels.

The platform thus provides a broad foundation for multi-utility metering and additional applications within buildings. In addition to consumption data, status and sensor data can also be taken into account. This allows municipal utilities and real estate companies to expand their projects to include additional utility types and functions.

What’s the right fit for this specific project?
A comprehensive overview of devices makes it easier to choose. However, the key factor is how each device will be integrated into and operated as part of the project.

For projects in Germany, neugemacht therefore considers device selection, data connectivity, and subsequent operation as a unified whole. We review interfaces, communication protocols, and firmware versions. When connecting via a smart meter gateway, we also take into account the appropriate combination of meter, communication module, and gateway.

This involves specific questions: Which existing devices can continue to be used? Where are adjustments needed? Which new meters or sensors are suitable for the planned applications? And what data is actually needed during operation?

If you clarify these points early on, you can align the selection of equipment with the technical implementation. This helps both in expanding existing projects and in planning new applications.

Add more devices or categories?
Would you like to integrate additional meters or sensors, or continue using your existing devices? Talk to us about your devices and your project’s requirements. Together, we’ll determine which connection makes the most sense and what steps are needed to implement it. Contact neugemacht

An additional water meter, heat metering in the building, or a leak detection sensor: As new requirements arise, the variety of devices in the project also grows.
